Six Flags with the Kirks

This is an out-of-date post, but you know.... life gets away from you! My sister, Mandy, and her husband, Tyler, came to visit us the first week in August with their 3 boys, Holden, Caleb, and Finley. While they were here we went to Six Flags in Valencia, CA. It was a lot of fun and the kids sure enjoyed being with Holden.

This is the view from our deck. It is quite beautiful on a clear day! Whenever I'm in a foul mood, I just have to look outside and behold the beauty of the earth! Nathan took these shots with our new camera. They turned out fantastic! No they were not touched up. These are originals!

Seward Slides

I discovered these cement slides online while I was searching for playgrounds near us. The slides are pure cement and they are smack dab between two houses in the middle of a neighborhood. They are called the Seward Slides because they are on Seward Street (makes sense, right!?!).

Our kids love them because they are super fast! If you ride on a piece of cardboard you go even faster! The only problem is the slides are really narrow, so we've never come away without cement burns on elbows, fingers, heads, etc. If you're ever in San Francisco, you should definately check these out!
