When I heard Nathan's phone buzzing at 5:30 this morning, I knew it was going to be another snow day! The school district programs their calls to go out at 5:30 am to let families know that school has been canceled due to inclement weather. Great huh!?! We've had more snow days this school year than we've had in our 8 years of living in Rochester. Last Tuesday we got between 8 - 10 inches of heavy snow (trust me I shoveled it)! The snow started falling last night and we woke up to 5 - 7 inches. I keep asking myself: "Where's the early spring that Mr. Groundhog promised us?" We have wonderful neighbors with snow blowers and when I looked outside dreading having to shovel again, our driveway and sidewalks were done! The kids had too much energy so we invited our friends, Autumn, Hayley, and Ella Towe to go sledding. Alina and I would have enjoyed it more if there was not an icy wind making our faces numb, but the big kids really loved it!
The crew: Andy, Haley Taggart, Hayley Towe, Autumn Towe, Nate (hiding) and Ella Towe in the middle.
My sweet Michael who is such a good sport about life! I bought the yellow/blue hat he's wearing on clearance on Friday and he wears it ALL the time. I had to draw the line at wearing it to bed and during church and prayers. He usually just wears the camo hat while sledding, but he had to wear both hats because he couldn't be without his yellow/blue hat!
Andy was being such a stinker during our sledding adventure. He wouldn't share the sleds and kept yelling at his siblings. I was trying to get him in his grumpy state, but he kept throwing snowballs at me!
Haley and Hayley. I loved being able to just call one name and have both girls look at me. We've been trying to think of a way to differentiate when we call the name Haley, but they both have last names that start with "T", so we haven't found a suitable way to just call one Hayley at a time.
Big boy in a little sled!
