The other night Nathan was putting the kids in bed. Afterwards he came up to me and said, "Alina just said something very distressing to me. She said 'Elmo' instead of 'Melmo'. " With each of our kids it's been a hard thing for us to accept when they move beyond using baby words and start using big kid words. It's especially hard with Alina since she's the last and we want her to stay a baby as long as possible.
This is another thing we will miss as she grows - her "cheese" smile.

I'm the very same way!! I correct my boy saying "toofes" (teeth) but really I'm gonna miss when I doesn't say it that way anymore. That little voice that exclaims "A penny!!" is so precious and I hope I never forget it.
