Haley joined Math Masters this year which is an organization for 5th grade math brains that compete in an end of year school district competition. To join you needed to pass a math test. Haley had a lot of Math Masters homework during the year and thought about quitting several times, but she stuck with it. We were so proud of her accomplishment! The district was using a new scoring system which was not cooperating, so they were only able to determine the individual scores. When the team scores were determined, the district Math Masters traveled to the individual schools to award the team awards. Haley's team won the entire competition, 1st place baby! There were several teams from each school and then each school brought all of their teams to compete, so this was a big deal! Elton Hills had 2 teams compete.
Haley's Team: Lincoln, Matthew, Kueng Yuen, and Emma.
